Welcome to Terrasante VillageTerrasante is a word with Latin roots--it means sacred earth. Please behave accordingly. Terrasante Village became a nonprofit 501-c3 organization on 3 June 2008. The mission of Terrasante Village is to discover, develop, and disseminate sustainable ways of designing and living in human villages, which minimize CO2 generation, beginning with locally appropriate solutions. This mission views Terrasante Village as a laboratory for projects in solar and wind energy, electric and hybrid conversion, permaculture and local agriculture, cost / energy efficient and bioharmonic housing, community development, personal and social software for healthy community, etc. The mission includes education and service. We intend to develop opportunities and manifest positive intentions for the highest and best good. A Poem about TerrasanteA place in the sun, a place under stars.A place for earth as architecture, architecture as sculpture.A place to muse or just to be, a place for song and poetry.A place to drum and dance Around a fire.A place where nature might inspire.A place for permaculture, gardening, growing.A place for experiments in eco-tech tinkering.A place to manifest possibilities.
